Just a quick question regarding pinion flanges. And diffs. Back the day when I bought a Truetrac for the rear axle, I also ordered a HD pinion and crown wheel set. Didn't realize that those only match the later 24 spline pinion flanges.

One of the reasons I'll propably never get a RRC beyond the 1984 MY, a Disco 1 or a Defender past the early 80s is all the elcetrical stuff! I like those three fuses!
We have not back from the OP (Mbeal24) since January 28th and i doubt we will now, unless he reads this and reminds him, that is the only way we will know if it's been sorted out or not.
My FR2 was doing the same...reduce engine performance..randomly..
Ended up a hole in my intercooler hose, I did the fuel filter as well and it was still black billowing smoke taking off....ended up being the MAP SENSOR...its on the air...
Ah, thise dreaded electronics! Mechanically, new cars are as good as it gets. The electronics on the other hand... One problem there and you are screwed.
Doesn't surprise me. I had a chat with the nice service rep from the JLR garage that services my wife's XE. For all major brands, VW, BMW, Peugeot, you name it, there will always be someone to be hired who knows those cars, maybe even the older...
Come on guys, some rules around old engine oil and other car fluid recycling are good. I don't want people to dump 6 liters of engine oil into the ground.

Unless you are fully qualified HV electrician I wouldn't touch an EV in the first place. Not illegal so, just stupid. And EV or not, exactly much can a DIY mechanic do on a, say, 2020 Golf?
You’re going to struggle to get much more height out of it without causing issues.
Lift kits are great, but will likely cause you longer term wear issues with driveshafts, due to the new angles created.
I believe you can go up a tyre size to 245...
Yes, the Defender TD5 fuel pump is below the fuel level whe the tank is full. The Discovery version has a flatter top on the tank and doesn't have ths problem. When I got my Defender, fuel would drip out if I filled the tank completely. On...
