Singr07 replied to the thread Coolant Loss on 300TDI engine.
Hi Chris I have noticed corrosion on head gasket ports too, but head gasket wasn't leaking. Cylinder head had a crack internally, coolant was seeping into inlet manifold port 4th from the right. Coolant was also leaking from the Core/Welch plug...

kevstar replied to the thread Disco 2 air diff lock removal.
Someone has fitted that locking diff, your disco would have a 24 spline non locking diff. Some came with a centre locking diff in the transfer box its operated from the gear lever in front of your gear stick. Also some have the locking diff in...

Money saving decision to make one wiring loom for models with different options. I recently replaced my brake pipes and I discovered several unused connectors in the wheel arches. That also annoyed me but I had to let it go.

How do I update fox well to work on td5

Rangieman123 replied to the thread Weak Spark - Why?.
Forget the naysayers here my V8 compadre. Although your ignition amplifier is mounted to the distributor, it still needs a good earth, through its base contact with the distributor. Early amp units had one, (3 wire), and then they changed to two...

Yer but it brings back chickens plucked & gutted ready for the air frier. :p

Yes the Foxwell is OBD2 compliant but you need the dedicated software for it to work correctly on the TD5. But you can also use it for obd2 compliant vehicle, if any of that makes any sense...... probably not!

Thanks for the thread! Had the same question and was just about the post. It’s bizarre that it’s just there hanging and doing nothing!!

  • julianf
The not-modern one. Some late 200s are disc brake, but im thinking yours must still be drum, so it has lower number of fatter splines on the ends of the shafts.

Nope not here the foxes or a mink would have them. Its easier to keep a mink 🤣 🤣

Thinking about it, mine IS OBD2 compliant as I use it on the wife's car which is a Citroen C3 Pluriel, '04 MY. At lest I assume it is as it works fine with that car.

I think we need more "data" on which type of Foxwell he has. He may be able to upgrade it quite easily. Like you I am so happy with mine that i have yet to feel the urge to get a nano. (Mind, here in Frogland I can borrow my neghbour's! ;);)...

My problem is that they are extremely friendly, which is great, try to tread all over my feet when I let them out, feed them etc, but they seem to see my toes as being food, maybe sossages or summat, so they will try to peck at them!! They...

    Blimey they're not cheap.

Our Foxwell works OK for reading live data. Maybe it's not down on power, maybe you have massive oversized wheels and tyres and expecting too much. Remember its not OBD2 compliant.

Ok so you have a dodgy Foxwell. Have you tried live data on it? I have a Foxwell pro 520 and it has helped me out with stuff like this. Mine is set up to be able to work with the whole LR/Jaguar range. Is yours not?
  • H
Just quickly I have a foxwell OBD reader and it’s not working
  • Stanleysteamer
And add to that, that the exhaust needs to be not full of sh!t!!

Thanks guys I’ll get it plugged in see what’s going on thanks for your help I’m new to land rovers.

The short answer is "no". Take the time to ensure the air filter is clear of poop, but as @Anaconda has said, if this isn't a quick fix it may well mean getting a decent diagnostic. To get max power there needs to be enough fuel, enough air...
  • Stanleysteamer
Quite!! Could well be sensor related, Map/Iat is my favourite. But impossible to be sure without data!
