Not all D2s had ACE, so calling it a "non-original conversion" is stretching things a wee bit. Put it this way it wouldn't bother an insurance comapny nor an MOT tester.

Thanks for the ideas gents. As I see it there are three choices when it comes to ACE repairs all with their own pros and cons. 1. Keep it standard. Bite the bullet, purchase two new pipes. For: It was how the car was designed in the first...

Have you tried a completely external antenna, just as a test?

Update: Left it running with the radiator cap off, but coolant starting gushing out after a few minutes. Not sure if that's expected? Put the radiator cap back on and let it run again, temp needle went in to the red 🔴. In terms of leaks, found...

Do you know what was changed? Do you go off road at all? Longer shocks can increase suspension flex, you don't need to have the lift to get this benefit. But there are many many different ways to modify the suspension.

Just had a thought that might put this on hold for me. I plan on registering my TD5 as a classic car in the future. I live in France and any vehicle here that is 30 years old and not manufactured any more, is exempt from charges in the French...

Great info thanks guys. I didn’t have my jack available so solved it by just rolling the 90 forward and back. Front prop was much easier than rear.
