I think it is more as a result of: a) Pushing the mini back and forth to park it in at the kerb yesterday. b) Clambering up & down under the car to effect the temp repair. I have ordered the hanger rubbers and once I have measured the diameter...

I decided to go to a master electrician and boom, I found a bad wire connection, a broken wire on pin 2, giving off weak voltage and the body of the wiper motor was not in contact with the bodywork as it was receiving little current. The master...

What year is it and does the thin pipe that goes to the expansion tank go down beneath the battery box or around the side of the battery following the wing. Mine had the pipe that dropped below the battery tray and was an ass to bleed. I replaced...

Thanks so much for all that info, really helpful. The rack i have is heavy but has 4 x supports along its length on both sides which are about 10cm wide so plenty of weight distribution. I keep being told by people who have been using roof tents...

Leak off pipes are new along with the copper washers on the banjo bolts. I am reasonably confident it's the actual injector. Diesel is coming out of the injector recess hole. My theory is if the copper washers on the injector was blowing then you...

I can only see relay 7 as an ignition relay which feeds the CJB (passenger footwell). Relay 8 is the fast/slow wiper relay, Relay 11 is wiper on/off. Pins 1& 2 at the motor should be power but they are switched from the relay so you may have to...

i have a diesel but it's about the same thing, once the pulley was removed i blocked the flange with a plumber's pipe wrench (don't use chinese stuff) blocking it against the frame and using a pipe as an extension. some people do it by blocking...

If can possibly have a bar made like the guy in the video did that holds the two bolts and allows you crack the center bolt off it can be used in reverse to tighten it. 🤔

Mark Piercy replied to the thread P38A Oil loss at the engine.
Either à torque wrench or a nice big long bar! The center bolt also puts tension on the oil pump behind the pulley so it's got to be or you can trunk the risk of the oil pump not doing it's job😬 I didn't realize it's a petrol... Even still, tight...

I think if you pay someone else to fix your car then running an old lr will get very, very expensive. They only make sence, to me at least, If you will fix it yourself.

so you have checked fuse 15 passengers fuse box and checked that you have a feed from the ignition switch on this fuse white cable and a feed on the white/green from fuse

When I retrieved the transmission bits off my K Series parts car, I removed the exhaust. Its no good to me so sat in the garage for years. Eventually had a clear out and listed it on the Kiwi version of eBay. Not the slightest of interest...

I should clarify - when I say 'a while', I mean for today while I check for any leaks. The wrap will be arriving tomorrow and will go straight on

Just the springs (as a minimum) although i'd probably change the shocks too unless they were new(ish). The turrets are the same whatever the lift/lack of.

I'm assuming there'll be plenty of air in the system that needs bleeding, I'll drive the front wheels up on my small ramps - hopefully that'll be a good angle to get the trapped air out. My heat wrap hasn't arrived for the exhaust manifolds yet -...

I think the old trucks were hinged in three places because with just one the headlamps would obstruct opening the hood, problem is it's got to be at least one in the middle and jiggle opening it or go all the way with three. Vent is a problem...

Yikes, I can see exactly why the bonnet lump would be a problem. I have seen kit cars with a bonnet hinge on one side, but many also, like the one on my Marlin, which is a one piece you have to take off each time. Can you not hinge it at the...

Hi, I am looking at taking off the 2inch lift kit, that was fitted to the Landy by the previous owner, and taking it back to stock. My question, do I just need to change shocks and springs, or do the turrets need replacing too? Regards Garry
