It’s the power steering drive belt that keeps going slack over a period of time. It’s new belt which is correct width etc. after a week or so I have to readjust the pulley below to get more tension.

I really appreciate your helpful advice, already downloaded rave, it will really simplify my problem. Already thought of removing the dashboard and “going through” the wires) Thanks🤝

I would let them know it's a bit disappointing it wasn't complete, see what they say.

Hi, You should do a fuel return test. Certainly the injectors are dead, cleaning injectors won’t help. When you had the injectors removed, you put them in the same place ? More than 2 mm3 fuel compensation is too much. Regards

You've got too much time on your hands. Get an old Landy and some spanners, maybe a welding kit and the steel from a weeks output from a major steelworks.

Most of it looked doable- the only two bits that I was a bit… why did they build it like that. The globe shaped hub seal cover at the end of the axel, those tiny nuts that hold it on, are gonna snap. Chances of getting them off in one piece...

I use a crowbar everytime! But I will try slackening it off and see if that makes a difference. Need to fix the injector pump leak first, but managed to get the o-ring needed today.

It was from the JGS eBay store. It was actually listed as for a Discovery 2 but I checked online and it was said to be exactly the same. I recall the only difference is the plug for the water sensor on the bottom of the filter but already had one...

Cheers Griff. No cruise at present. I've actually got a clutch sensor on the shelf in the shed but when we had the gearbox off to do clutch/flywheel a couple of years back bleeding the thing was such a b**tard I'm reticent to disturb the natural...

No idea how the radiator is emptying into the expansion tank. I've never experienced this. That's not to say it's not possible. I would start with a compression check. Then check the filler cap for blow by. Maybe a sniff test of the coolant. Then...

I've used a crow bar to tension a belt, a long time ago. The charge light came on when I started it up and went away when I subsequently slackened it off a bit.
