It is a shame so many folk, and not just farmers do not take basic care of their vehicles. A good clean underneath once a year and when dry a spray of preservative goes a long way. I was doing similar work on mine recently and all bolts that...

It will run with the engine running if you bash the heater box,, poor connection inside most likely. I will try a separate earth at some point before the heater box comes out.

If you erase the codes do they all come back after a ride? The title is about suspension and only one code is related to that, possible causes attached:

You may have two issues. If you are sure are not actually overheating with your thermometer readings 70 something at the top of rad and lower at the bottom hose is good. With engine hot and rad cap off [careful opening up, slow with thick cloth...

Do you think I can remember where I put the valley gasket clamp bolts? Not a chance. It feels like nothing fits. Also, is the correct order (from top to bottom) clamp, seal, gasket? My RAVE manual seems to skip straight from rocker cover to...

Hello, I have a problem with my Freelander. There is an error p0705 on the gearbox. I have found eleutrocircuits, checked the socket on the axp and realised that the problem is in the wiring, there is no power to the inhibitor. Can you please...

The barrel collapsed on my D2, which I had to change but this wasn't sudden. It became Increasingly difficult over a few months. Removed shroud and drilled bolts out from above to change.

Hi there, I’ve been lurking for some time as I’ve been looking at disco 1-2 but not really got a chance to get hands on with anything. Been fixing my own cars for 20 years, mostly French stuff, some Japanese and latterly some German. So...

Then you really need a diagnostics session cos it can be the MAP sensor at fault especially it's IAT side but this can be checked only with live data or eventually there is a fault code for it... though that's just a guess unless you want to...

If it only runs when other stuff is off, could it be that the fan motor is trying to ground though somthing that is being pulled "high" when the other stuff is running? I would start by running a temporary ground from the heater, to a known good...

As usual the problem is in the least accessible part, inside the heater box. I used wire wiggling and bashing things as part of my diagnosis. Bash the heater box and it will work.

Agreed, diagnostic read is the way to go but does anyone know if the warning light flashes in sequence ? I recall X-Type Jags had a flash sequence that indicated which circuit. Slightly OT I know, just curious.

I'm about to go through a similar process on my tub...more or less. Two questions: What adhesive are you using to bond the panels? Having used it, would you recommend or use it again?
