    The garage I was forced to use by unfortunate circumstance used that approach on my 2005 rear right wheel bearing replacement a few weeks ago. BTW, I couldn`t believe how much noise a bearing "starting" to fail created in the cabin. Good luck!

    Cheers for the response and yes have spent morning with angle grinder and have fitted lock nut on temporary stock bolt while I source new pucker rated bolt. Thanks again.

    Find something to hold the clutch from rotating & release centre nut or bolt. Then wriggle the clutch a bit & it should come off.

    I had mine repaired by a local diesel specialist in January. It can be done yourself but I initially thought the pump was needing replacement, hence getting it done instead of doing it myself.
