You can get a metal "aftermarket sump" with a separate filter, however they tend to leak.
And tbh I've never had issue with the plastic sump
Put some oil on the drain plug rubber and you'll be golden
Also read where some have right nightmares , snapping bolts along with leaks , as mine is ok I’m leaving it well alone
Will know abit more when I drain the oil out
