SO finally getting my S3 Hicap 2.25 petrol going after 2 years. New fuel tank, fuel pump (mechanical) and fresh fuel before starting. Started after blowing through fuel line from Tank to pump and fuel filter before carb. Dows start on choke but now petrol all around the base of carb and looks like from the main carb gasket. Whats likely to be the cause, Stuck inlet needle, float chamber full of ****e? Ta

I'd start with the float chamber, it's the easiest to fix if it is that.

Some Zenith carbs had an issue with the carb body warping so even with a new gasket it would never seat correctly, usually noticed by rough running due to extra air ingress, this could be your problem but as Col says, try the float chamber first. If you do need to rub down the carb body there is an article on here somewhere.
