Last week thought I'd take a very close look at my old Landy floors. Discovered some previous owner had hidden previous bodges with foil covered bitumen sound deadening material and the sculptured use of silicon sealer and oversized penny washers where the sill rails bolt through the floors + after removing the sound deadening the floors were very weak from age, so Sunday evening ordered two new front floors from the ever splendid YRM. Monday evening removed the floors and have buzzed back and prep'd surrounding mounting edges at footwells, gearbox tunnel and seatbox.
10mins ago there's a knock on the door...and, it's Christmas!! The floors have arrived...Laser cut 3mm alloy plate and a 10m roll of 5mm sealing foam tape
Anyway, YRM...for a small family firm running a business in these difficult times they really do provide a first rate service + they have a super clear to use website.
But guess which arse forgot to order the fixing screw kits
