Got to love my P38 so many problems but it keeps me busy and it may be old but it looks like a beast of a jeep.

Got my radio sorted just need the code which im working on at the moment thanks to all members who helped.

I seem to have another problem now, my air suspension is playing up. i had a soft fault a few days ago which i cleared and all was good. This morning i gave her a wash and the drivers side is not going high anymore, its not sitting down on the bump stops as such but its very low, the passenger is going up and down fine however it seems a bit slow. My compressor is nearly new and i can hear it working fine so not sure whats going on.

Cant really hear any air leaks, was fine yesterday up and down in 60secs but after wash one side looks like it had enof, mind you did go up to some kind of normal level after 20mins of driving.

what do you think it is? ECU? Leak?

What it won't be is the ECU. Airsprings as I've said many times have a design life of 7/8 years 80K miles. Most likely yours are perished and leaking, fix the leak quickly or your new compressor will be toast. the old one most likely failed because of overwork feeding the leaks.

Come on ya lazy bampot
The last time you mentioned this Datatek suggested a faulty height sensor, remember?
You were trying to borrow a laptop to run the EAS software. I'll bet you didn't bother when the fault cleared. Well you're back in the same boat, you're going to have to read those faults.

Did clear the fault with the software, was showing up as leak and valve open and all sorts which i take it meant air bags are done in. Went under it and had a look they seem fairly new but i have decided to over haul the whole system.

Going to buy the Arnott airbags Gen 2, where is the best place in the UK to get them?

What else do i need? New air lines Etc.......can somebody please advice me what i would need to make the system perfect again. Do i buy four new height sensors aswell?

Also anybody in Glasgow who could fit them for me? Any good Local garage?

Anybody know how to DIY Arnott Gen 2 airbags, thinking of fitting them myself but need some help? Anybody in the Glasgow area willing to help and in exchange i will machine buff your range for you with real carnauba wax. Make it look brad new again no swirls marks. I do it as a hobby but also on the side, normaly charge £80 done a few cars but willing to exchange for some help.

I tend to ask for help on here never give any, however due to some issues with my suspension of late have discovered something worth checking with slow reacting height adjustment going up and down on its own. I took the EAS valve block exhaust filter off and discovered it to be blocked, the air lines that feed the corners act as blow up and release of air through the valve block, the air has no where to go if the exhaust valve is blocked. Renewed the filter yesterday and have had no issues so far, the filter cost me £20 from Bearmach which is right near me, I know its only a day but does seemed to have worked with no jumping up and down on the light sensor display.

Was it white deposits??

If so, check the Air Dryer as it does have a tendancy to break up over time, causing the dessicant into the system and block the exhaust and valves....

New Dryer is around £35 to £40 or so, or replace the dessicant material with suitable alternative (Dopey I think mentioned what to get - do a search for it)

I was wondering if anybody can help, for some reason my right side of my p38 keeps going to the bump stop first day they went to bump stop, a fault came up I believe it was for the front right valve permanently stuck open or closed. I was able to clear the fault with my eas kicker and suspension went up to ride height or any setting I chose and worked normal. All four air suspension has been replaced with the arnott gen 3, and recently I have rebuilt the valve block complete including replacing dryer seal. Check for leaks with soapy water and no leaks detected. Could it be a height sensor pls advice.

Last time you get a pass on this Jacob. **** taking begins if you don't chill. Introduce yourself and let the natural process take place.

I still don't get this: it's just an electric motor with a thermal cutoff, why can't they cope with constant compressing?

Motors can be designed to run continuously or for intermittant running, the compressor motor is designed for intermittant running which makes it lighter and cheaper, LR love cheap:( Likewise the actual compressor pump is not rated for continous running.
