wow, new injectors.

Just fitted new injectors to the old gal and bloody ell what a difference. It felt like she was getting a bit sluggish, especially at low revs and a bit noisy on start up.
Been looking at getting mine reconditioned, but as paddocks had brand new Bosch injectors in stock, and with their black Friday discount, they were the same price as what I've been quoted to recon mine.
So nipped up earlier and chucked em in this afternoon.
Old injectors looked very sorry with loads of carbon and muck on the tips so no wonder the performance was down.

You cant really tell how good an injector is just by the soot on the outside, unlike a spark plug.

But you havent told us what engine or what you paid?

How many miles had the old ones done?

300tdi about 100k miles,£280. Didn't pull em to check condition, as you said, can't tell by sight alone, would need an injector specialist to test em. But as I said, bit noisy when cold and sluggish at low revs.
