Ditto. Last time I used the RAC it was because the grub screw inside the top of my gearstick had same loose on the motorway. Was pulled off the motorway and left there to wait for a private reccy contractor. Thought stuff it, took it apart and fixed it myself within a half hour. I drove home the 15 miles and was in the house over an hour before the reccy truck phoned me to say he would be with me on another half hour. No thanksI sourced all my spares while sat at the side of the m6 waiting for the truck lol
Recovery is included as part of my insurance with the NFU, should I need the service the NFU will arrange recovery with the AA, RAC, Green Flag etc, depends who's nearest. Only used it once and the RAC turned up in 10 minutes![]()
