Thats very low perhaps you should look at a cheaper form of transport.

But that involves actually buying something else?

As it is, I run mine on filtered WVO that I collect myself so my fuel costs are minimal, I need motorised transport because public transport isn't an option from my village (we get one bus a week on a Thursday!)

I maintain the vehicle myself using recycled parts as much as possible (Landrovers are one of the few vehicles that I can run on veg oil and maintain myself!!)

I try to avoid using my heating as its oil fired, so use my log burner as much as possible as I manage to find my own wood!

Basically I try and live as cheap as possible!

I'm insured through Adrian flux,
I'm 27 drive a V8 hybrid and pay about £580 a year, (which was the same i paid for my 1.6 Renault Laguna).
Adrian flux was one of the only insurers i could find that insure hybrids.

insurance is ridiculous at the moment, one boy i work with was quoted £3000 on a 1L 12 year old saxo with no mods cos he's just past.

I am with Adrian Flux. They're a broker, they use several insurance companies. You need to say you want special 4x4 cover, this will cover you for off road use. They usually use Equity Red Star for these policies. I have it and it covers me for unlimited modifications. (except performance mods)

However, if you just phone up and say "yo I wanna insure my Land Rover", they will probably just get quotes with the main insurers and this won't cover you for off road use or for undeclared mods.

I paid just over £500 to insure my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD. (02 plate) A year ago, I paid £350 to insure my 96 Disco 300 tdi. (I'm now 25) Off road cover included + unlimited mods.

Haven't read everything on this thread,

All I know is I insured my green 94 300tdi 90 with flux. Sold it paid a increase to insure my track car, sold that got a quote for another tdi 90 but a 97 reg they wanted to put my premium up again, I argued and got told it was newer so it's not the same, argued and they agreed with a manager if I bought one same age same engine they would but my premium back to the start of the policy, few weeks later I bought a 94 tdi and they kept to there word,
