read on another forum about the gear selector can drupe or something so gets in the way on gates?
not sure tho
there is a filter in side ,you just cant change it without pulling rear extension case offFilter? on a manual?

does the gear stick actually move forward and rearward when trying to select or is it jamming and not but does in other gearsDont suppose anyone has an idea as to whats happened?

id think your bias plate has broken and tab is jamming the lever ,there are other issues you get with the selector yoke but you have to get to bias plate firstRight ive just driven it if you wiggle the gear knob in gear it selects gear in hi and lo? so could be something bent?

remove the consol then transmission plateHow easy can this be done? not alot of knowledge so dont even know where this is?
Thanks, not exactly a filter you would change as part of normal practice and that would cause the gearbox not to select in HI. Sierrafery was talking about an Auto box which is why I questioned it. Obviously I will have to be less subtle for some of you. ........................
