Hi all, just a quickie...

Since I bought the latest D2 it has a severe steering wheel wobble when braking at speed. From what I can gather it started when the previous owner changed the original disks to vented discs. Anyone else experienced this?

I'm due to get it French registered after my trip to the Uk this week so might be able to buy original discs whilst I'm in Blighty.

+1 seen this before on a freinds Disco.Changed to solid disks and it went away. Dont forget to change your pads at the same time they will now be worn to the slight bend in your slotted disks and will not work properly with the solids.

more than likely nothing to do with vented/solid/etc. they sound like they are warped.

happens when not bed in properly/abused/crappy products.

like above new discs and pads will sort it and bed them in properly. while your at it check callipers aren't siezed.

... I thought all D2s have vented front discs?? The vents radiate outward from the centre of the disc to its circumference.

If yours has holes passing from one side of the disc to the other then they're cross-drilled

Sorry to be pedantic! ;)

...and yes - warped discs ;) Get new discs and new pads at the same time.
