I don't know how detailed a question needs to be. There are either 300TDi's on the Wirral or there aren't! It's not a big place really.

I was a 300tdi owner but ive recently scrapped it due to HORIFFIC amounts of rust, and replaced it with a Td5

I found all the sheet steel I need for £20.. replaced my boot floor and inner wings. ☺ all good for another 160000 miles

im happy doing anything mechanical but ive never welded and the amount mine needed scared the bejaysus out of me.

Im on the wirral but with disco td5 now, had a 300tdi though. Power steering univ joint or ball joint snapped on it in new brighton ( quite scary!!!) A shed load of cable ties around the arm an a slow drive got me home love discoverys but they are loads of hasle compared to an 'average' car!!!!

Haha very true! Honda I'm sure began life with the intention " To design and build an engine that will never leak oil" sadly that wasn't shared with landrover.. I get scared when I don't see drip marks on my drive.

I spend a lot of my working life on the lovely wirral, i think a lot of people over there forget how nice birkenhead, rockferry,ellesmereport etc is...
give me Liverpool anyday!
