Hi Guys the master mechanic is fitting my new cross member (bought from Pressbrake some time ago) and has discovered the rear wiring loom is shot to bits (basically been acting as an electric fire!) I have done some searches and am now totally confused.

Can we just replace this section of the loom? and if so which loom do I order?

Thanks in advance!

Can fix it with trailer bored wire, i did with one of my old trucks, all depends how you want it done either repaired or replaced,

Thanks that has been suggested elsewhere too and have done some more searches and it seems a chassis loom is only about £90 I suppose the most important thing is to find out what caused it to start with eh?

Yh it is a commen fix for landys lol, yh you will prob find the cause while changing the loom but deffo try and find cause 1st prob something silly like a chaffed wire

A common fix is to run replacement cable outside the chassis along the body, keeps it out of the way the next time chassis needs welding.I have used 7 core trailer cable just fine.
