I’ve just become the proud owner of a series 3 88 canvas top 1970.
So far I’ve fixed the indicators and brake light and now having a go at fixing the heater. I’ve traced the wires from the switch on the dash and found them by the matrix unattached.
Struggling to see where they attach to though?
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Looks like you're missing the blower unit.
Sits next to the matrix on top of the footwell

Congratulations you will have lots fun with it.,
Any pics
There is also a resistor wire wound as shown which drops the 12v to allow two speeds

Thanks for your replies, really helpful.
Sorry for my slow reply, got a bit disheartened when I realised it was missing the blower unit and thought maybe I should just forget about it and add an aux diesel heater under the cubby box/3rd seat.
Its most likely going to be used mainly in the summer, so not a big issue at the moment but maybe something I will rectify in the future if I can find the part(s).
Thanks again

Series 3 land rovers started production from Sept 1971. If you say yours is registered as a 1970 land rover there's been a bit of plate swapping going on.
