Wire for Reversing Lamp P38

I just found the wire that goes to the reversing lights and took the feed from that, been no trouble for 3 years, what i will do tomorrow is look to see how and what colour the wire was and get back to you .

There is a spare plug hanging from the loom at the rear l.h. side close to the sub woofer area. The plug has three wires attached..negative, 12V+ Ignition switched live and reverse lamp. It is primarily used for energising a relay for caravan power utilities and providing a supply via a 12S plug to the caravan reversing lights, if fitted.
There is a white plug hanging down in the compartment behind the passenger side rear lights, but it has 4 wires - are we talking about the same one ?

Could very well be it.. check it out with a multimeter. I think the reversing light is a white wire.

I dont have that plug on mine but if yours have then its a better idea than mine, thats got me thinking i will have another search to see if mine does have that plug

Remove the side panel which covers the sub woofer and CD player..that should give you enough space to have a good look around.
Regarding the plug, one of the wires is Black (Ground), use a meter or test lamp to check out the others.
