Hi Lee, you don't say what vehicle you have, but I'm guessing it's a 1998 TDi 300??? Are the rear lights not working on both sides - nearside & drivers side?

thanks

it is a 1998 disco 300 tdi safari edition

OK Lee it is as I thought. In 1998 LR interpreted a certain EU directive such that the rear pillar lights do not have, as std, both red side lights AND brake lights.

I have had to resolve this isssue on about 5 Discos now and the way I do it is to buy some new light units from an earlier series of Disco and they cost about £27 each from Paddock Spares.

Here is the part number:AMR5151 Rear Lamp Assembly RH - from MA162390 and MA501705 to WA746541 (UK only)

and it's opposite number for the other side.

They are a straight swap, plug'n play and come complete with bulbs.

Cheers
Dave.

wing mirror; adjust the mirror fully inwards (towards the car) then pull away from the car and backwards...

Refitting is reverse of removal - only harder!
