Hi all, the next thing that I need to tackle is the electrics on my S3 2.25 petrol. Currently the windscreen wipers sometimes stay on after I have switched them off? If I turn the ignition off on and on again this resets it. Is the most likely culprit the switch?

It may be the park switch, the wipers are always on, the park switch stops them and the wiper switch over rides the park switch. If the park switch doesn't work they will keep running until you cut the supply. This is because the momentum carries them past the park switch. The park swich actively stops the wipers by cutting the supply AND shorting the armature to earth. It may not be earthing properly.

Could be a sticking park switch on the motor.
