Windscreen Wipers Blades

I noticed the other day the rubber blade was ripped on my 99 TD5 Disco,OK nipped to the independent L/R place by Leamington Spa bought a replacement blade £10.60 came home went to remove the old blade drivers side,Only Land rover could make there fitting different to any manufacturer !! after checking out the connection decided best way was screw driver pliers and generally knacker the whole thing,Question now how the hell does the new one fit,,I had already thrown the aerofoil bit over my shoulder !! Back to the shop bought a plastic clip £3.60 Fitted the blade and then noticed that the last inch of blade never touched the screen ??????Went back into shop they came out with more brand new blades all the same whether fitted to the D/S or P/S.Name of the blade Britpart,Think i will naff off to Halfords and just buy 2 of there's.

Halfrauds are mega money, pop to a factors like euro car parts or someone similar. I get my blades for less than £1 each and they are decent blades, halfrauds sell theirs for about £15 a blade!!!

I got a full set of Bosch wipers from Halfords for £17.00, drivers and passengers sides in a set. And they fitted my D1 perfect.

Is that how much they cost now Wow I buy my blades from Lidl when on offer at £3 something a pair, they have an aerofoil on one blade some times, they are ok, well would be their German

you wont get td5 blades from anyone but britpart or land rover.

nobody else does them!

I got mine from the local Landrover independant, they wern't Landrover and definatly not Britpart, he gets all his stuff from Allmakes.
Can't remember the make in a plastic box with red card at the back.

It just one of those 3000 improvements the D2 has over the D1

Had same problem on my disco, what you could try is just take off the rubber from the blade and put them on ur existing blade. Worked at treat on mine.

Damn, wish we had a Lidl nearby...closest one's up in Carlisle and by the time I've gone there and back it'll have cost me the same amount in diesel as I'd have saved from not getting them at my local Halfords!!

I just fitted bosch one to my 300, much better than the cheep ones.
