Which I assume you are mentioning because we have to leave them overnight in the D2 when crossing the channel. Fortunately they love the vehicle and just sleep. As they do for the next two days it takes us to drive to our place. We always get pups very used to the car as soon as we get them.Off course but IMO the D2 was also not designed especially to carry animals every day all day or to let them in the vehicle over night
They love it so much that when we are packing the car they bother us until we put their harnesses on and put them in.
And of course we never travel with them in hot weather.
The previous owners only ever used the vehicle to carry guns and their dogs to and from shoots.
I don't think any vehicle, except perhaps police dog handler's and RSPCA vans, are designed esepcially to carry animals. But D2s are comfortable for them, they can see us and hear us, we can feed them and give them water in there, so we have no qualms whatsoever about using our Discos to transport our dogs!
