Depends what its used for, if it only going to get used mayb once iff needed a single battery would be ok, as there over landing I would imagine it has twin battery's ect, good practice to carry strops and shackles ect any way inch or no winch, tackle block? Snatch block?

If your going to buy a new winch and bumber I know of a shop online that's based near me and he would be willing to do a deal I would hav thought, maybe throw in sine straps ect.

What if you need to winch backwards! :eek:

2 is good, would need a nice lowline as I don't think you would want an 8274 sticking up in the boot of an overland.
 
all ready got the winch bumper, training is a must. wouldn't using 2 batteries make it 24volt? do the winches run on both 12volt or 24volt?
