i am gonna be servicing me warn xd9000i winch and may put a new bowmotor in it..

i currently use an albrite solenoid located behind the grill panel,so i dont use the solenoids in the bridge ..

qs is can i remove the top bridge section by cutting it off to give the winch a lower profile and replace it with either some threaded bolt or weld in some reinforcing bar

or will it fook up the strength of the winch..
or do i sell it and buy a winch without the bridge..

why you putting a Bowmotor in?

the structure looks completely different to standard lowline winches, I would leave it well alone. Sell it and buy the one you want.

only thought about the bowmotor as i was offerd one at a good price.

winch works fine and is a good strong winch its just a tad tall for me..
unless anyone wants to swap it with a winch without the bridge?
