I had a intresting conversation with one of the local scrap men at a breakers yard this afternoon. He stated that the P38 will out last the L322 as its a better car due to the L322 suffering from rust and gearbox problems....... I know the p38 has its own issues but is it a better long term car than the L322?

Just after everyones thoughts on this

And that's why I can't decide which one of mine to sell: my p38 that I've had for 6 years, or my l322 that I've had for 18 months!! Decisions decisions!!!! One has to go, 3 on the drive is not good (according to stmbo) - my other is a disco 2 that stmbo drives.

Sell the disco 2 on the wife

Had a similar conversation with the wife the other day when we passed a nice new 15 plate RR. Our thoughts were that we wouldn't see many 2015 era land/range rovers around in 20 years time when all the electrics pack up and they've all been recycled into carrier bags and bean tins, whereas D1's & 2's, defenders, series LRs will still be around for decades to come...

No, I don't think so.
Electrics are too frail. However the good ones are great, I think the same goes for the L322.

I don't fear the L322 as much as I did the P38...
