Wiki?

Hi all,

I started thinking about how there should really be a wiki somewhere, with a lot of the great information from sites such as this organized with common questions answered, basic information, part #'s, how-to guides (or links to them). I figured it would exist, but after a quick google search didn't come across any.

If the consensus is that this is a good idea, I hereby volunteer to start one as I have the skills needed to set up and maintain a wiki and want to give back to the community. Of course, I know next to nothing about land rovers compared to most of you guys, but everything has to start somewhere and hopefully some experts would contribute over time.

So... good idea? Already exists somewhere? Not worth it?

No replies at all.... hmmm. Will repost in general chat I guess, since this is not really a question about THIS website.

dont get all arsey about it... why should a wiki be necessary... peeps come on here and other forums to find info, parts, advice.... etc, a wiki would only lessen the peeps signin up onto here and others.

The reason why no-one replied is because there is a land rover wiki.....it's called landyzone. Do a search FFS, and if you can't find what your after then ask and you will be informed, sometimes before you get the **** taken out of you.

Personally I reckon it's a good idea .... BUT you have over 50 years worth of knowledge and information over numerous models to document ... That is a lot of time & work!

Would it not be easier to have one website with links to downloadable workshop manuals for all models ever produced???
