same thing happened to me and it was the right hand earth that had broke down in the inner wing. the auto electrician sorted it in 5 mins.

Treworgey - thats nuthin!! wait til You and the Spaniels hear this;;;;;;

-When I depress brake peddle - THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE LITE COMES ON.
-When I put on head lites-I DONT GET NO REAR SIDE LITES (BUT DO GET BRAKE LITES).
- I have main headlite beam -BUT CANT FLASH.
-Thers other electrickery probs but I just cannae remember.

The real downside is that I cant really go out at night on the main road, and when i am out during daylite- everybody thinks im flashing them when,,,,
Im really just braking !!!!!!:confused:

Mine went through a phase of the headlights coming on when i braked, which was most disconcererting when you'd slow down approaching a junction and people would just pull out - and of course i had no idea why until i parked facing a window and saw it! Then miraculosly it all just stopped all by itself - no dount only to reappear as i'm gently slowing down fron 70 whilst approaching a hideously busy junction!

Check that BOTH rear light bulbs (red ones) are the correct twin filement ones. Cos, if one of them is a single filament one then braking will put 12v on the sidelights, and bring the brake lights on.

Would explain some problems from stuckindamuck also.

Just a thought...
