Why?

(2002 P38 DHSE)Why does it always beep at me? Open one of the doors and it beeps, open the tail gate and it beeps. No warning messages on the display, drives as it should but on the odd occasion whilst driving it beeps, Some times it will beep then after a few seconds another beep but then nothing for ages(still nothing on the display).
It's driving me nuts.
Any suggestions greatly received,

It bleeps if engine is running to indicate a door is open, also when engine switched off if a door is open it tell you have key in ignition but the message should show on the display
Wonder if its becm glitch ..

I hate that beep. It's like Land Rover went to the bother of finding the cheapest sounding and most annoying beep possible. A chime or similar would of been much better.

Its a high maintenance girl, she is just saying she loves you and needs TLC (total love and Care!) and lots of money spent on her.

try a vw luggage or fuel beep to **** you off.

Heh heh heh. I disconnected the speaker. Sacrificed the shire horse on cobbles when you use the indicator for NO MORE BEEPS!!!
