Why won’t it sell

I'm a member of a couple of LR groups and many, many people are putting their vehicles up for sale now due to fuel prices. I think the market has already peaked and historically 110s have always been cheaper than 90s second hand anyway as there's not so much demand. I think you are way over priced. Ebay is not a reliable indicator as so many of the ads on there are fake. Have a look on LRO to see what current asking prices are like and as others have said remember they are just asking prices.

I always look at certain cars on ebay etc, and have also noticed the prices are falling, not much but they are starting to come down.
I reckon the smart dealers are going to shift the expensive gear asap whilst they still can.

I think I would be taking their hand off at that price, lets be honest theres always haggle room, and 33k minus say 10 percent aint far of the wbac price, even if they tweak you down a bit thats still money in your bank.
History is not main issue with defenders like say other expensive cars, it is all about condition.
I think they'll tweak it down a lot. It would be interesting to see what they actually offer, if he was to take it wbac for the inspection.

I, honestly, can't understand someone spending big money on a stock defender.

We all know that it will decay to iron oxide pretty rapidly, despite all the underseal claims.

Personally, if I was spending, I'd want a rebuild from someone I trusted. All the bits covered in zinc, and all the ware stuff as new.

A 28k stock defender will rust and depreciate hand over fist. A professional galvanised rebuild would not.

But then someone spending 28k on one probably doesn't care. They'll sell it at 15k and go and buy something else for £30k, I guess.

In addition to all of that, people will be paying a charge to drive them in all urban areas of Britain in the next ten years.
And bearing in mind that the majority of the population of the UK live in urban areas, that has got to impact on prices.

Cheers just done wbac and it was 29700 so think il whack it on ebay, I dont blame people for not wanting to hand over that amount with the limited history and no warranty I wouldnt

Let WBAC have it. They'll take off your hands, and pay the money straight into you account quickly, with no come back, no hassle should it go bang next day. ;)

If I wanted one I would want an auto converted 2002-2007 model

This is interesting!
Since I put the number plates of the 110's I found for sale on Ebay in to WBAC they have continued to send me emails to try and get me to take the cars along to their local assessment centre. Their emails always contain a link to their new valuation estimate. The valuations have gone up £5K in 12 days :eek::eek:
Last time I put my P38 into wbac they were offering about 400 quid below scrap value.

I suspect they are trying to lure you in.

I don't know anything about this operation.
But my natural suspicion suggests to me that as soon as they have bought your car, they will pass your details on to their sister company, We Sell Any Car, and they will start pestering you to buy one.

I doubt they'll honour the full online evaluation when you turn up for the inspection. They're bound to decide there's some fault.

About 10 years ago I got an online quote to have my alloy wheels refurbished. It wasn't too bad a quote, but I didn't get around to doing anything about it. A week later they emailed a voucher for 10% off. I didn't think much of it and a week later another voucher for 20% arrived and a week after that a 25% voucher turned up. I went and got them done after that. Still look great now :)

Have wbac come back with another offer, assuming you ain't sold it to them already?
