This is really a side thread to the 80 AH thread I postged early.
My RR recently immobilised for no apparent reason. It was taken to the local dealer who unlocked it. However it transpired when I went to pick it up that the battery was dying/dead and needed replacing.
Question 1: Is it possible that a dying battery caused it to immobilise? (it also caused all kinds of error messages including traction control problem and don't exceed 55 km/hr. These all disappeared once new battery was fitted.)
Question 2: The dealer said although he used testbook to free it up, it was possibloe to remobilise by potting key to position 2 in the ignition, disconnecting battery and reconnecting, he said he did this also, but fro various reasons I don't entirely trust him. Is this possible? (my EKA car door lock thing doesn't work and neither does the car respond to remotes so if this is indeed true it would be a real weight off my mind)
