Only do new forest on a mountain bike & OS map. No troubles then if you can work out the map & refs on the marking posts

when you r driving a lane and can only see the OS tail light of the guy in front cos of the trees....... thats what I call marginally overgrown

I'm keen for a meet up! And a bit of light Laning (I.e no chain saw required)

I've never done Salisbury plains, anybody know it and fancy a drive out one Eve or weekend?

A lot of us that have done SP, now leave it well alone. It’s very acidic siloil and water and destroys vehicles.

Sometimes it’s just worth a drive round the main roads of the plain. Who’s free weekdays as shift work is my problem.

Sorry for jumping in late to this thread. I’m nr Winchester/Eastleigh and would be interested in a meet up for some light laning. Nothing too serious though as I’ve only just got the car up to somewhere near scratch after buying it 3 months ago..!

There’s some good lanes that I’ve mountain biked on around Stockbridge/Danebury that look to be in pretty good condition but I’ve not driven them or looked into them in too much detail having no one to try them out with!

Good to know! I was a student at sparsholt many moons ago and we used to drive a few local lanes near kings somborne between lectures but they were pretty short and while totally legal we'd get evil looks from the walkers!

I'll do a bit of research on legal local ish options and come back here with a proposal and see if we can get a date together!

I work in Chandlers Ford so pretty close. Mines a red 90 with galvansied roofrack and snorkel on passenger side (200TDI).

I'm only a few miles away, just past Bishopstoke Haven't seen you but will keep an eye out.
I could do with comparing a few things from your disco to mine as I have a few niggles (still!) but not sure how best to approach them!
