Where is this laning everyone is talking about, without me going over the whole thread as im tired haha!

Somehow i dont think my little corsa would cope very well out there! Just wanting to experience it really!

Don't worry about your corsa, some prat took a mondeo on low profiles last year:rolleyes: and still didn't get stuck in the field:clap2:

I'd love to try laning, but I think I'll have to get the 4x4 checked first on my Freelander, I think the previous owners had it disconnected or something (didn't know that was possible).

Mud is always my fear, remembering how we tried to reverse uphill in rainy mud still gives me nightmares lol

Is it important to have special tries for offroading? I got new ones few months ago, but I don't know how they would do off-road.

Face your fears and thereby overcome them;)

You won't need special tyres, the organisers have promised the mildest of lanes. It would be worth checking if you have 4wd, I think it is possible to disconnect this, but the freelander page should have your answers.
Look forward to seeing you there.

Isn't it summat to do with the prop shaft being removed that makes it 2WD?

Dunno, just a girl, don't have a free lander

I will be going in my freelander on the greenlaning , only got road tyres but plenty of people to help if I get stuck

just feed them cake and they will come running, just mind ur fingers, lol

not bothered to be honest if I do get stuck , all part of the fun , may never live it down but don't care , all about having a great laugh amongst mates

ref ur prop they may have removed the vcu , see if it's fitted

if u wish post over in the freelander section and we will help u all we can

will be nice to see some more freelanders going

ps going to have my hawkeye with me happy to plug it in to see if there's any faults etc for u

I got stuck twice last year, by grounding on my diff. 205 MS tyres, no extra lift. Great fun, almost no **** taking involved. It had been very wet the week before, so soft ground.
All part of the fun

If the ground is dry it's unlikely anyone will get stuck. If it's wet, well, heheheh ... ;)

im going for the laughs , got 215 x 65 x 16 on mine , got the view if I get stuck i get stuck

maybe all the freelanders should stick together , lol

think there's about 3 of us going in hippos isn't there ??

will be a very good test as it will be a good way of me seeing what they can actually do and how these tyres perform

will also be good for james to have his first off road experience

am really looking forward to it and hope I can get plenty of pics , won't be standing next to water though that's for sure, :D:D:D

will try and pull off to one side so can take pics of the landies coming through ,etc

will find it funny if I get stuck and couldn't agree more all part of the fun , will be good to see what its capable of

am fitting a combined towball and pin on mine , will take the pin out and store it in the car

plus never bothered with lift kits on mine as I've never seen the point as it only raises the body and not the axle etc

roll on May 15th , james can't wait either , will be his first greenlaning experiance and bet he will want his fender even more
