Advice please
I gave my 2002 L322 with 2.9 TDi a fresh drink of oil and filters today.
Along the way of doing it I spotted a couple of oddties
This thing with a blank plate on the end and a jubilee clip holding it there

And these two plugs hanging about aimlessly nearby
Anyone any idea what they're for?

Guessing EGR pipe been removed, looks like it is sitll leaking going by the amount of black puff on everything?

The two plugs are for an additional cooler for warmer climates- if it's not there you don't need it is the impression I get.
The plate on the jubilee clip is a poorly executed egr delete.
Not sure in the missing pipe...

The pipe you’re missing goes down to the turbo and controls the vanes on the turbo. There’s another one under the inlet that controls the egr.
The turbo is on the left hand side looking from the front of the car and check there isn’t a pipe dangling.

Poorly executed egr delete, was leaking like a sieve through the joint that can rotate. Fixed now by removing the joint and using a steel plate and lead washer - sounds like it's a botch also, but it works fine.

Also spot on https://www.landyzone.co.uk/members/109inches.119822/ (so jealous) - amazing the difference a few pence worth of 4mm braided pipe can make when connected between the vacuum resevoir and the boost control solenoid.

Back to the air suspension - now got an 'articulation validity fault'
I've calibrated it using my IID tool, but it persistently rides at a different height especially at the front even when it's locked in normal ride height mode.

Thanks eyeryone

Can you read any live info on the height sensors? It could be a dead spot on a sensor..
