Who knows where to get detroit diff spares from?

Hi some one has bound to have asked or know if and where to sorce spare parts for a detroit diff, i dug my old one out my garage that i broke :0 bit to much love in a muddy hole, and i manged to snap the end that the bearing sits on half shaft slids into, its held on by 3 bolts so must be able to replace ? Surly

Any one with any ideas?
 
try 300tdistu on here he broke one recently. im not sure if he got it fixed or junked it for an air locker, i know he mentioned the cost of spares so must have been in contact with some one regarding buying parts

ashcroft sell parts for them
 
Typical part thats broken on mine is the only part you carnt get hold of lol crown diff's seems to be best bet cause there tryin to get some made from a enginerring company :) so fingers still crossed

done mine aswell :( its in a salisbury axle not looked at it yet still sat on my drive ,, all i done for now is swapped axles over so going to try an look at the locker over xmas an see wot went wrong with it :( then see if it can be fixed

If its owt like 300tdistu's it will be a mess, I'm worried about mine just don't trust it,
 
Rover ones are weak salisbury ones seem to take lots of abuse. Apparently they changed manufacturer to a cheaper supplier and the quality of parts went seriously down hill enough for Ashcroft to stop selling them as so many failed and the warranty was not upheld.
 
Im thinkin of gettin mine fixed and selling it on and getting air lockers seeing as so many ppl have had problems with detroits
 
Yh more than likly my mates hust got a rear ashcroft air locker makes hell of a difference gonna wait till he changes his tyres then see how it copes then make my desition lol

hope not as i still drove it and its workin on the o/s but n/s not working at all .. was hopin it was the shaft :( but nope had to be the locker .. so going to fix it ..if i can then sell on ebay with it in a salisbury axles with disc brakes should sell well me thinks :cool: then will put the dosh towards air locker :)
