check fan belts etc aren't rubbing If it's doing it whether it's moving or stationary it usually points to engine related problem.
My brother is supposed to be coming having a look at somepoint. Il get him to stick his head under the bonnet whilst i rev her us. See what he thinks. So far he has suggested an engine problem, a clutch plate priblem or a flywheel problem.
flywheels dont usually give issuses, clutch plates do which would tie in with clunky gear change ,though you may have more than one issue ,in gear with clutch pressed means no drive at all through gear box ,in neutral gear box is still turningMy brother is supposed to be coming having a look at somepoint. That doesn't sound good.
Nope lol. Need it for my holiday in 4 weeks and have no pennies due to paying 500 to get it back on the road a few weeks ago.
If it is Transfer box. I have a spare that you could use until such time as you can source a replacement.
id definately be looking over the engine ,fan belt off and try ,rocker cover off etc ,does it run ok or lumpy
its hard to tell from recordings but sharp knocking can come from broken rocker or bent push rod etc but would effect running ,same noise can come from vac pump but no effect on running its a matter of working along till your left with only possibility ,shaky ?should be smooth with new clutch ,that may lead you to suspect to clutch issue ie not fitted correct or faultySeems to run well enough. A bit shaky when pulling away sometimes but this has happened since the new clutch was fitted.
but it felt "shaky"still? The day after the clutch was fitted, the new bearing collapsed so theu had to take it all out again and refit a new bearing. They checked it all and said it was fine. Its a land rover specialist who fitted it
still taps ?Yeah. And it still taps. But they just said its probably bedding in.
