Which snorkel?

Hello all
Been looking at different 200tdi snorkels on eBay and landy dealers etc.. There is a big difference with prices!
I don't want to buy a crappy molded import from taiwan.
Can anyone recommend a decent one? And also is it just personal taste re the safari intake or are they just for show?

I had the same dilemma a while ago with my 300tdi. In the end I did go with the safari.

I was really torn, I mean the safari was so much more expensive that others that looked the same. But the thing that swayed it was that the safari on the 300 tdi has a spigot that goes through the side, which the tube connects to. There really is very little parts that need to be sealed to ensure it's waterproof. Other brands rely on making a seal aroung the front wing, both sides.

I really need it to work because it's prone to flooding big time where I live, so wading is the only way in or out.

That said, i really don't know if the 200tdi is different. There was a guy on here recently complaining of power loss after fitting one on a 200, and indicated that the safari on that engine also needs the seal around the wing. I have no knowledge of the 200tdi nor the safari snorkel for it, so don't know if that's right or whether I misinterpreted what he was saying.
 
I have a 200 safari. I wouldn't have anything else. Paddocks is the cheapest I found. The 200 one has to be sealed to the wing, it doesn't go through but that said I've been 5ft deep with it a few times and my engine is still running a year later.

It doesnt worry me - I use an I-phone alot. Am at the mo - just turn off the spamming ****e. I don't want to know what software yu are using on every fookin post :mad:.
 
Didn't realise it did say that it on my posts from my iPad. But don't really care. You accused me of spamming which I was not. If you feel like you need to make comments like that it's a bit sad. Didn't realise you owned this forum!

As I said, I didn't realise it was saying it.. I am amazed why it upsets people however, unless they hold shares in other software! And aren't you the clever one changing my quote! Pillock. I have found the offending setting and turned it off.. I am all for a bit of banter but you are offensive.
