Having given up on the cork seals for the Crankshaft Cap seal, i am going to take the advice and use RTV.
Brittanicca uses Loctite 5580. I would be happy to get this but it takes a few days postage.
If there something on Amazon Prime that works as well that i can get in a day or so?

I used loctite 5922 along with pre-cut paper gaskets when I replaced the front drive flanges on my Series 3 back in 2018.

This seems to have help up very well so far. There is no sign of any oil leaking through the joints.

It can be messy to use and will stick to anything it accidentally gets on.

When using RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) sealant for sealing your crankshaft cap, you want to make sure you're choosing a high-quality product that provides a strong, durable seal and can handle the heat and pressure of the engine.
