Hi, i'm thinking of fiting parabolics on my swb s3 to hopefully improve comfort when driving on road and forest tracks (i don't intend doing any serious off roading or trialling).
I was wondering if there are any particular makes to avoid and which ones will be good for all round use?

hi
i got some blue monsters from paddock as the green ones weere out of stock..........
beware. with 500kg , thats half a ton, they barely deflect, and empty they are much worse than well oiled leaf springs.
it does sit high and doesnt roll though.

DONT get the one from paddock they are ****, made by BRITPART, known on here as ****PART for a very good reason. I know where ya can get rocky mountain parabolics.

Aye, ahv heard nothing but bad about ****part.

Dun't expect a more comfy ride from them. Like Ciderchap sez, mine roll less, feel more harsh, sit higher, but do seem to have a lot more articulation than standard leafers.

If you want the articulation they're great. If you want comfort, oil your existing ones. ;)

sounds like i'd be better off saving my money and treating my old springs to a bath in 10w/40 then.
Is there any way of seperating the leafs to clean them up properly?

leaves come apart quite easy (extreme), the way that yella sorted his out was to go and drive some really rough lanes, once driven clean the springs and coat with spray grease between the leaves, repeat the process a few times and you will be surprised at how supple the springs become (yellas is not that far off coil spring performance now)
