there's so many lift kits about , i 've seen one in MM 4x4 with an inch & a half lift for £218 , 4 springs , 4shocks , 4 turret rings , would i need to lengthen any brake pipes or do anything else apart from taking off & putting on

if tis only 1.5" i wouldnt have thought the brake lines would need anything doing to them unless you are fitting dislocation cones. 4 turret rings  only two turrents on yer landy as far as i know ;)

are you going to be doing much offroad? id suggest fitting the kit 1st and checking the length of your brake lines after its fitted by raising your landy up (not under the axle) to see how much they are stretched... looking tight? new brake pipes!

1.5"-2" and you should be ok. your UJ's may wear quicker but everything else should be fine. you may notice more wobble in the turns, so take it easy at 1st so you can find out where the new limits are.

all those kits around £200 are basically the same. 4 shocks, 4 springs. take a look at the britpart kits, supergaz and procomp.

if you want good quality ones, take a look at the old man emo kits. they are superb. they will outlast the other cheaper kits and provide a much better ride quality as well as better offroad performance.

dont worry too much about dislo cones, you have to push your landy a fair bit to require the dislo cones. it may be worth re-newing the spring retainers and turret rings while you have everything off and apart. also check your turrets for cracks/damage. there are heavy duty ones avail. for £50 if you want to go down that route.

hope this helps.
