Hi all,

My insurance is due in early June so I thought I should start looking for quotes.

I've currently got an admiral multicar policy - not had my renewal through yet.

I would happily stay with Admiral, however I am planning on getting my car remapped which Admiral do not cover.

I'm 21, 4 years NCB.

Want to insure a 2008 VW Golf GTI 2.0T and a 1998 Discovery 1 300 TDI.

Who should I try for quotes who would be flexible on me having a remap? I am going to try Adrian Flux and Greenlight.

If Admiral do turn out to be dirt cheap compared to others, I'll just have to forego the remap.

Thanks :)

Hi all, to update - I've been calling up insurers today.

Admiral were reluctant to move from their renewal price of £2077, he reduced it to £1890.

I gave him a couple of quotes from comparison sites and he then reduced it to £1560.

After a few calls I have come up with a combined price of £1298 to cover both the cars.

£660 for the Golf with my 4 years NCB (Sky insurance)
£638 for the Discovery with no NCB (Adrian Flux)

I feel quite happy with that. Particularly the price for my Golf - at 21 on an '08 Golf GTI for £660 seems very fair! It looks like I'm going to pay through the nose for a remap on the Golf no matter who I'm with so that may have to wait.

A few phone calls has saved me £779!
