To all of you guys who suggested I replace the HG while doing water pump and cam belt. NOBODY LIKES A SMART ARSE!!!
OK so you were right after all.
Mayo in the oil.
So a big weekend coming up I just ordered, clutch and headgasket kits from here
Discount MG Rover Spares
Knew about the clutch for a few weeks now but just found mayo in the dipstick on Saturday so going to do both next weekend (also probably several evenings next week) and as I haven't done either before on a Freelander I'm not sure which order to do them in. Any suggestions as to the best way to tackle these jobs welcome.
Ordered so far
Payen BW750 K Series (VVC) Elastomer Head Gasket Kit | Discount MG Rover Spares
L Series (Diesel) 228mm Clutch Kit - URF000131 / URF000132. Fits Rover | Discount MG Rover Spares
Still to get Gearbox oil, engine oil, Coolant, and need a torque wrench suitable for the 20Nm as mine starts at 30Nm. Anything I've forgotten about?
Cheers guys. I just love my Freelander
