Which defender to upgrade to

Evening all I'm currently using a 300tdi disco and I'm looking to upgrade to a newer defender in a month or two, I'd love the space of a 110 but 9 times out of 10 a 90 will be easier and leaves me room on the drive as a 110 would be tight, I'm thinking a county with 7 seats but I'm trying to work out witch model to go for and how much to budget. Majority of clean low miles seem to be td5's but how much should I look to pay for a decent one!(piece of string I no)
I don't fancy a new model but I could be swayed to go for another 300 tdi if the right one came up. Any help or tips would be great, thanks viz

everything is unboltable and upgradeable..... if I was in the market id look for a galv'd chassis and poss galv bulkhead then worry about the mechanicals (200/300 for me) and finally bodywork... in that order.... age means very little

an old enthusiast built and maintained could well be far better than newer and maintained on a budget...

Thanks for the reply, I no what you mean mate I nearly brought a 300tdi with a galvanised chassis a while back but lately iv seen a couple of good examples td5 low miles full history and wax oiled etc which is swaying me, also depending on how much I go a may have to have some on finance and generally you struggle to get on vehicals over 10 years old which is a pain and I don't really want to go to the bank.
