Mine being seized (which seems to be the norm) and interested in getting better a/c oomph at low speeds and high ext temps, interested in thoughts on replacement.

Q1: seem to be two variants of the part - JRP100060 and JRP100000 - what's the difference?

Q2: neither is cheap, any testimonials (good or bad) on these Revotec replacements? - https://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-JRP100060REVOTEC
 
Interesting steer - did a quick Google, seems like a few different opinions on the closest like-4-like match, with VDO PM9128 seemingly the connoiseur's choice.
 
JRP100060 is + "GCC" and JRP100000 is - "GCC" something to do with gulf states as far as i can figure. As long as Derbyshire is not in the Gulf states JRP100000 should be fine. But may not be first choice owing to Land rovers stupid prices. ;)

If you read again what i wrote there you'll see that all those listed including PM9261 are good but the TYC 630870 is cheaper... if you dont intend to leave UK and go in hotter regions that cheap ebay one will be enough for aircon but i dont recommend it cos the electric fan is there for engine protection too in case of overheating and for that the cheap one is useless cos it can't blow well enough to cool the radiator too.
 
A touch off topic but it should help... I would strongly suggest is to insulate all of the A/C pipe work with pipe insulation and ali/foil tape. Did it on my 110 and the A/C is definitely much cooler from the get go! Not sure if its the same on the Disco but one of the A/C pipes on the 110 runs directly next to the main coolant pipe, making the A/C pipe red hot! and thus making the A/C pretty poor.

Well its not red hot, but its not in any way cool! Now the A/C pipe is very cold where as before it wasnt.

Temps never hit the red even pushing hard on hot days. Generally sits around 85 - 90c according to the Nanocom. Had fresh coolant not that long ago, no leaks in the system either.

I replaced the two burned out condenser fans on my D1, (not sure if D2 are the same, originals were Denso), with two from a Toyota Camry that I got off an abandoned wreck, they needed a little adapting to install, but they work great and cost me nothing but a bit of time to convert and they are a far better designed motor.

Do you have a nanocom? because you can check it using one of those. But normally if they fail, they are completely fubarred internally. Mine was locked solid.

iv been doing the same thing today my fan is seized solid rusted to buggery outer caseing swollen and crushed the internal magnets I can usually fix an electric motor no trouble but its well fooked.

just have to decide if I go the cheap after market motor and fabricate new mounting brackets or order these from the states as well
