Which brake pads to get?

As the title says - which make or brand of rear brake pads should I get?

There's a big variety on the half dozen or so sites I've looked on and a search on here hasn't thrown anything up. My annual mileage is quite low but I do tow a 2 - 3 tonne trailer on a regular basis, not much off roading, just the odd venture onto grassy fields

Land Rover Parts shop gives the widest selection in one place Clicky

Any good suggestions please?
 
Thanks Barmatt - on the LR parts site (see the link in my post above) they range from £11 - £68 per set! There's three different types around £25 and EBC pads on LR Series are £35.

£68 is OTT but which of the ones between £25 and £35 are the best?
 
I have to say I pay around £15 for the front and around £18 for the rear and never had any problem with the cheaper pads. and I have been driving land rovers for 25 years +
 
imo I stay away from allmakes as you really don't know what you are getting. I personally use either delphi or ferodo and have always found them to be excellent and much harder wearing than cheaper ones so it won't cost you extra in the long run.

I contacted my local indy LR specialist and they will supply genuine LR rear pads for around £35 instead of the £68 + vat some firms want. Hopefully it will be dry at the weekend so I can fit them without getting a soaking.

They all do the same job, even the cheapest of the lot.

Depends if you are doing much stuff off road,if you are doing pay/play days,going through a lot of sand and waiding etc then get the cheap as chips pads because you will be replacing them often!

Thanks Hoopfish, don't get to do pay and play, mostly towing trailers with the odd venture on to a field. Will probably go with the original LR ones at £35.
