Which Alternator? 4.6 HSE 95 Reg

Which alternator would the members recommend?

1995 M Reg 4.6 HSE:

AMR 4247 (100 amp) or the AMR 2938 (120 amp)?

Decided to replace with a new alternator to be safe but wanted a bit of expert advice!

Whichever one fits, but 120 amp is better.

Why not just get original repaired, cheaper and will have a warranty (at least 2 months) if auto spark does it

Thnaks for the advice guys.

I went for the 120 amp in the end and it has arrived today so I will fit on Saturday morning....hope it won't be raining!

My alternator just went ping this morning!!!! where did you get yours from and how much did it cost? - i have had quotes from £139 - £499!!!!

Hi
Whatever alternator you fit, just make sure the pulley is bigger and not smaller than the original one. I blew 2 from Disco's before I sorted out the problem.

All fitted and 200 miles post fitting there appear to be NO FAULTS! and no flickering lights too..:clap2:
