Was bored for a bit, so went to have a look and see if any of mine/me dads old motors were still about.
looked up my dads ol S2 landy, the reg is now on one of these...

His S3 seems to have dissapeared though. :(
so if anyone sees a Merc SL with WWX 553 on it, that USED to be a landy...

edit - or at least thats what the buyer said at the time. BUT, I've just checked and its taxed until next tear :clap2::clap2::clap2: Fantastic that old Natalie is still with us :)

Go on the DVLA website to check the vehicles taxation status. You choose the manufacturers name (Land Rover) from a menu and then type in the reg number. You will see then if it is taxed, so you will know it's still around. Of course, as has already been said; the vehicle registration may have been sold on and fitted to another vehicle. So your old Landy could still be around, but on a different plate. I don't know of any way that you could check if your old plate is in use on a different vehicle, other than working through the DVLA menu starting perhaps with Alvis and working through till you reach something like Wartburg..... a long job if you are really keen. I found a Matchless motorcycle ( HUT 248 ) on this web site and I sold the frame and log book in 1968 or 1969 !

Dvla tax site - is it taxed/sorned and how much tax costs plus colour engine size and some other details.
 
my 68 series 88 that i rebuilt with a new rover chassis that I had to get galvanised , back in late 70's is still running about with its V8 engine that i fitted, but is now blue not the white I painted it , as to where it is anyones guess !! wonder if its still got the hydraulic winch and overdrive i fitted ?
 
Got worried when i saw the title, thought you were suggesting my landy was missing, but, no my old landy is safely outside :)
 
Soldmine to my next door neighbour about 5 years ago

It's not quite as nice as it was. Winch bumper gone, wheels replaced with steels. Dints all over and just general not been looked after
