wheres the best place to buy eas bits

hi all jusy wondering where the best place is to buy eas bits? im after 2 rear air bags and a compressor as it has thrown a eas fault on dash had it read and it came up as compressor faulty, just wondering if anyone recommends anyone as dont want to buy poor quality items cheers

ps if thats what fault came up can you check the compressor somehow? or is it just a case of throwing away cheers again will

Yeah thats them but go to their website as you get free delivery and they stock more parts you require

just been online 2 bags fitting kit and compressor around 280 seems good, just wonder if something is really up with compressor as its only 3 months old but its thrown up compressor fault

He's got Arnott Gen II's for the same price as OEM and pump re-build kits for around £99

Well the Arnott springs are a little bit more money and some would say that they are better than the original OEM Dunlop ones but this could start an argument that could go on all night

As for the pump it's a repair kit so you get the piston and bore so you need to find out if the motor is in good order before you spend any money..

Well i would say no. Not much point in putting £99.00 piston and cylinder in a pump with a knackered armature. The complete new pump for £159.99 is a much better option in my view. Looks like you've taken a bit of work on with this one matey.

Could they not offer more info on the fault recorded. I could be wrong here but I didn't think there was a fault code that related to a faulty compressor as such, more a case of associated components. As a new compressor was fitted 3 months ago I find it had to believe it would have suffered terminal failure in such a short time.

Mine still runs on the original, 2000MY and 95K covered, starting to get a bit slow especially on these cold mornings, but curiousity has got the better of me and I just want to see how long these things can last!!

have a look at what symlise is offering on ebay he offers a wide range of eas parts,at a good price,and his turn around is fast as well.
i have used him,and have no complaints

Yes i agree, the only thing the ECU knows about the compressor is it is either making air or not making air via readings from pressure switch. The fault code would i think relate to the pressure switch rather than the compressor. But i suppose it may depend on the code reader used and how a fault is interpreted.

Give Joe a ring at Emmots of Colne, hes never let me down and his second hand parts are practicaly new, i think he also does re-cons. do you need the number matey?

There is no fault code for pump failure, but there is one for the thermal trip on the pump which might have tripped if has been running continuously. That can be fixed for pennies. As for airbags, I reckon the Arnott Gen 2's are worth the small extra cost. If the pump is knackered, a new one for £158 sounds like a good deal

For a good deal on Arnott Gen 2's try P38 spares via Ebay, for some reason when I bought their price on Ebay was lower than buying direct. Very helpful people.

Then I would suggest that it was actually registering low air pressure and the diagnostic kit interpreted that as a faulty compressor rather than a leak.

but if it was a leak wouldnt it be flat on the bump stops, as it looks like its on standard height ish?

Thought you said it was down at the front? Or am I suffering a senior moment??
If the compressor is not working it will be on the bump stops in due course
