Well !!the symptoms are it runs for around 15 mins then engine light comes on . I've searched hand seems to be the temp sensor playing up BUT where is it located on a 02 4.6 vogue se many thanks

Does this sensor control the temp gauge as I have changed sensor and gauge is now dead or could it just be a simple wire has moved

No engine light on ...... No codes .... No faults showing up ...... just lasts around 10 to 15 mins then engine light comes on and cuts out

Might be a cam or crank sensor might be on its way out if it is heat related?

Download RAVE. Look at L/H rear of engine. R/H from front.
